How to proceed with your application

Step 1

Complete, sign and submit the tenancy application form below, and send the holding deposit to us so the application can be processed immediately. Please also provide (upload) photographic identification*, proof of your current address, last 3 months bank statements, and last 3 months wage slips.

* Photo ID can be:

  • Option 1: UK Passport, EEA National Passport, Permanent Residence Card, or visa if required.
  • Option 2: Full or Provisional driving licence and/or UK birth or adoption certificate, a government authority letter, or paperwork from the Department of Working Pensions.

Step 2

A holding deposit may be requested (equivalent to 1 weeks rent), if your application is subsequently accepted payment of the deposit (equivalent to 5 weeks rent) and the first month’s rent (minus holding deposit if previously paid) is due by bank transfer, this payment must be received and cleared in our account prior to keys being released. We would suggest making this payment at least 3 working days before the commencement of the tenancy.

    This form must be completed and signed before any application for tenancy can be formally considered.

    Please note we will not proceed with applications without photographic ID, Proof of current address, copy of bank statements and proof of income.

    I confirm that I am over 18 years of age, and that the information I have provided is true and accurate. I agree to the agency named at the beginning of this application form making whatever enquiries they deem necessary in connection with this application for a tenancy. I understand that the results of the findings will form a basis of any contract between the parties and does not represent any offer between Red Brick and the prospective tenant, and the information may be used in the pursuit of debt tracing and fraud prevention.

    I understand that providing false information may lead to a tenancy being refused or early termination of any subsequent tenancy agreement.

    I understand that my employer and Landlord/Letting Agent (Local Authority – if I was a previous council tenant) shall be contacted and made aware of my application. I agree to Red Brick making the contact and approaching any other relevant third parties including credit reference agencies for the purposes of assessing my suitability to enter into a future tenancy agreement.

    I understand that this does not represent any offer or contract of any nature.

    The information that you provide will be securely stored and used solely for assessing your suitability to enter into a UK tenancy agreement.

    Conditions

    In order to comply with the Immigration Act 2014, I understand that all persons who will be occupying the property will need to demonstrate that they have the Right to Rent and that checks on my/their immigration status will need to be carried out. The government criteria for the Right to Rent can be found by going to www.gov.uk and searching Right to Rent.

    I understand that some or all monies may not be returned to me should I not wish to proceed with this application or where I or anyone who would be occupying the property fail the Right to Rent checks.

    The property may continue to be marketed following submission of my application.

    Should my application be accepted, I agree to pay all outstanding due balances before the start of the tenancy in cleared funds.

    Property Misdescriptions Act

    Every effort is made to ensure that the information shown about the property for which you are making the application is correct. If the tenant is in any doubt as to what is included with the property, they should confirm this in advance of the tenancy start.

    By providing us with your information you consent to us obtaining, holding and using your personal data about you in connection with the business of letting and renting out residential properties for as long as may be reasonably required for our legitimate purpose. We may also provide that information to third parties with a legitimate reason to receive it in connection with your dealings with us (e.g. landlords (where applicable) and utility and service providers) or to such third parties as required by you or the law, whether within or outside the European Economic area.
